Evaluation of preliminary task-Phone documentary
We watched each others documentaries in class on Youtube and gave each other evaluation points. One of the strengths for our documentary was the cutaways, as they were inventive and linked well to the interviewee's answers. Although our Mis-en-scene was relative to the subject, it was poor as it was only a picture in the background. To improve the Mis-en-scene we could of had many pictures in the background to create a 'wallpaper' instead of a single picture. Another weakness was the framing of our documentary interview, the eye line of the interviewee should have been around a third of the way down the screen, our wasn't quite that. The levels of music in the background wasn't right, as it was to loud compared to the levels of speech, making it hard for the interviewee to be heard. Our last strength was the questions as they still made sense when the questions of the interviewer were cut out. To improve our documentary it needs to follow the codes and conventions more carefully.
